During the summer season 2010 Branta Birding Lodge received several injured birds, some of which are White Storks (mainly weak juveniles) as well as one Red-necked Grebe probably hurt by a boat or a Jet Ski along the Durankulak beach. Members of Branta Tours and Le Balkan-Bulgaria Foundation took care of the birds until they were transported to the Varna Recovery Center.
