Branta-Tours has installed an artificial platform, encouraging White Storks to breed on the west bank of Durankulak Lake
On March 17th 2009 Branta-Tours had installed an artificial platform safe for breeding, on an abandoned power pole (free of wires), just in front of Branta Birding Lodge, aimed at encouraging White Storks to nest.
In parallel with this action, there has also been a campaign to raise awareness in school children at Durankulak, while many farmers in the area have also been alerted to the presence of this new breeding site.
